In the course of counseling a business, an attorney may be called upon to deal with U.S. immigration and visa issues. This may include providing advice on employing a foreign-born worker; acquisition, sale or merger of a business; using independent contractors; and other topics. This program will provide an overview of the common work-related non-immigrant visas, permanent residency (the “green card”) and obtaining U.S. citizenship.
