Does IICLE® accept credit cards?

IICLE® accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for credit card transactions.

Does IICLE® offer legal advice or representation?

We are happy to recommend products or services but cannot offer legal advice or representation. Use the IICLE® Online Library to research inquiries. A free one-week trial is available.

What is the IICLE® return policy?

IICLE® does not assume responsibility for shipping damage. Defective print publications may be exchanged within 30 days of purchase by contacting Customer Service at (217) 787-2080.

What is the IICLE® shipping policy?

IICLE® ships most orders the next business day. UPS Ground shipping is free within the continental U.S. Rush and international options are available.

Do you sell IICLE® products at any locations in Chicago?

IICLE® products can be purchased at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 South Plymouth Court, Chicago.

How do I submit my resume to IICLE?

Can I request IICLE® to invoice me for payment?

Sorry, we only accept prepaid orders. If you are a government agency, we require a purchase order to process the order.

Login Issues

I forgot my password. How do I retrieve it?

From the login screen, click on "Forgot your password" in the Returning Customer box. Enter your email and click Lookup to receive a reset link. If you don’t receive the email, contact customer service at info@iicle.com or call 217-787-2080.

I keep logging in, but it says my login is invalid. What should I do?

If your login is invalid, try resetting your password. If the issue persists, contact a Customer Service Representative at 217-787-2080 for assistance.

Ordering, Returns, & Shipping

Can you invoice me for payment?

IICLE® only accepts prepaid orders. Payment can be made by check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover). If you are purchasing on behalf of a government agency, you must provide a purchase order with your order.

What is your return policy?

IICLE® does not assume responsibility for damage during shipping. However, defective print publications may be exchanged for the same item within 30 days of purchase by calling Customer Service at (217) 787-2080. Non-returnable items include e-books, online subscriptions, and on-demand courses. A $25 restocking fee applies to returned books.

What is your shipping policy?

IICLE® ships most orders the next business day. Shipping details:

  • UPS Ground shipping: FREE within the continental U.S.
  • Expedited shipping: $5 per item plus actual overnight charges (orders must be placed by 2:00 p.m. Central).
  • International shipping: Call (217) 787-2080 for options.

Special Pricing for IICLE® Programs

Law Students

Law students may attend select IICLE® programs at no charge or a reduced rate with an active subscription to the Law Student Resource Kit. Seating may be limited. Call IICLE® at 217-787-2080 to register.

New Attorneys – New Lawyer Starter Kit

Attorneys recently admitted to the Illinois bar have access to the New Lawyer Starter Kit for free. It includes free CLE for newly admitted attorneys and reduced prices on select programs (typically $50-$100). Members also receive a 2-year subscription to the IICLE® Online Library. Group Discount

Registrations for 3 or more individuals from the same firm or organization for the same IICLE® program at the full tuition rate will qualify for a 15% discount. Call 217-787-2080 to access this discount.

Financial Hardship Policy & Scholarship Application

IICLE® offers scholarships for attorneys facing financial hardship. Applicants must meet the following:

  • Be an Illinois bar member in good standing and in active status.
  • Provide evidence of financial hardship or full-time public interest work.

Requests must be submitted using the IICLE Scholarship Application at least 10 business days before the program. Send applications to scholarships@iicle.com or fax to 217-546-6096.

Being a Contributor at IICLE

Can I get credit for teaching at IICLE® programs?

Yes. Attorneys who teach at IICLE programs may claim non-traditional credit for the actual time of their presentation, plus six times the length of their presentation for preparation. A second presentation of the same topic will earn ½ the actual presentation time as CLE credit. Preparation of written materials for a CLE program can also be counted, subject to a limit of 10 hours total for any given 2-year reporting period. Can I get credit for writing for IICLE®?

Authors of IICLE® publications may receive non-traditional CLE credit for time spent researching and writing the material. IICLE® issues certificates of publication to evidence authorship credit following publication. Refer to the MCLE website for eligible credit hours and self-reporting instructions.

Can I get credit for serving as a course moderator at IICLE® programs?

Yes, you are allowed standard credit for attendance. However, preparation time is not credited.

Can I get credit for serving as a panel moderator at IICLE® programs?

Yes. Panel moderators receive credit under the same terms as speakers, including actual presentation time and preparation time. A second presentation of the same topic earns ½ the actual presentation time as CLE credit. Preparation of written materials can also be counted, subject to a limit of 10 hours per 2-year reporting period.

Publications

I have an outdated IICLE® publication, but I do not see an update to the title in your current list of publications. How do I find out the status of the publication?

Please contact a customer service representative with the title of the handbook you are inquiring about. If the title has been discontinued, coverage may be available within another title.

How do I cite to an IICLE® chapter?

I would like to review the table of contents before I purchase a book. Where can I find that information?

You can view the table of contents for every publication on our website. Navigate to the product description page and check the "Description" tab for details.

Where can I find past editions of FLASHPOINTS?

Past editions of FLASHPOINTS are available exclusively to IICLE® Online Library subscribers. They can be accessed from the "Browse Books" tab on the IICLE® Online Library search page.

Navigating IICLE Online Subscriptions

What titles are included in my IICLE Online Library subscription?

The entire current library of IICLE publications is included, along with associated forms in rich text format. Select forms are in a separate forms database for quick access. You also have access to archived IICLE publications dating back 63 years, with new content added regularly.

Can I log in from any computer or device of my choosing?

Yes, you may access your subscription content from any device with an active internet connection using your username and password.

Why can’t I view the text of a book or contents of a form I selected?

You must be logged into your iicle.com account to view the contents of any book or form in the Online Library.

When I search for a book, my results appear to require payment to view the book. Why?

You must be logged in for the system to recognize you as a subscriber and allow access to the library contents.

How do I locate forms in the Online Library?

You can conduct a keyword search within the forms section of the library. Alternatively, view a “List of Forms By Chapter” in the Table of Contents of a specific title.

What are my options for using library content?

You may view content directly or download handbook sections and chapters as printable PDFs. Forms are downloadable as Word documents for editing. Note: Retaining copies beyond immediate use is not permitted per the End User License Agreement.

How do I search for CLE programs with my All-Access subscription?

Log in to the IICLE website, hover over “Programs” in the main menu, and select "online on-demand." Add programs to your cart and complete checkout (100% discount applies). Access your programs under the online on-demand tab in "My Account."

Where can I find the credits I have earned for watching online CLE?

You can view your IICLE-issued credits on your "My Account" page. Credits are typically reported to the Illinois MCLE Board the next business day. Verify on your MCLE Transcript at www.mcleboard.org.

Can I watch more than 30 hours of CLE?

Yes, your subscription provides unlimited access to online, on-demand programs. Review Illinois MCLE Rules for carryover credit specifics.

Managing Your Subscription

What are my payment options?

Subscriptions have a 12-month initial term, payable annually or monthly. All-Access subscriptions are also 12 months, with no early cancellation due to CLE reporting requirements.

Can I manage my account online?

Yes, you can log in to update your payment information, profile, or preferences anytime from any device with internet access.

Can I have multiple users within my firm or organization?

Yes, firms can receive a single invoice for multiple IICLE Online Library subscriptions. All-Access subscriptions require individual accounts for CLE tracking, but a single invoice can be provided upon request.

What are my subscriber benefits?

Benefits include 24/7 access to the IICLE library, an archive of past editions, forms database, 40% off print books, and exclusive event perks. All-Access subscribers also get 50% off live events.

How do I take advantage of my special pricing benefits as a subscriber?

Your subscriber discounts automatically apply when logged in. Verify login by checking for “[Your Name]’s Account” in the top right corner of the homepage.

If I have questions, is there someone to call for help?

How do I cancel my subscription?

Online Library subscriptions can be canceled after the 12-month initial term. All-Access subscriptions cannot be canceled early due to CLE credit reporting. Contact us for more details.

Can I make a suggestion for online subscriptions?

Yes! Send suggestions via email to subscriptions@iicle.com with “subscriptions” in the subject line.

Continuing Legal Education Credits, Reporting & Rules

When will CLE credits earned through IICLE appear on my MCLE Transcript?

IICLE typically reports credits earned from online on-demand programs to the MCLE Board on the next business day, and credits from live events within 5-7 business days. Verify your MCLE Transcript as of the 6th of each month for all prior month credits. Contact IICLE if any credits are missing by the 15th of the month.

What should I do if an IICLE program is missing from my MCLE Transcript?

IICLE reports CLE activity monthly to the Illinois MCLE Board by the 5th of the following month. Verify your MCLE Transcript by the 6th of the month and notify IICLE of any missing credits by the 15th. Contact us at info@iicle.com or call 217-787-2080.

How do I claim credit for teaching for IICLE?

Teaching credits are calculated and submitted to the Illinois MCLE Board. These credits will not appear on your transcript until you claim and verify them. For details on claiming credit, visit www.mcleboard.org.

Where can I find detailed information about Illinois MCLE requirements?

The MCLE Board of the Illinois Supreme Court provides information on MCLE requirements for Illinois attorneys. Visit www.mcleboard.org for more details.

Is IICLE® an Accredited CLE Provider (ACLEP)?

Yes. Since January 1, 2006, IICLE® has been an Accredited CLE Provider, accredited by the Illinois MCLE Board pursuant to Rule 795(b). All IICLE® programs are presumptively approved for general substantive CLE credit.

Can I participate in online on-demand programs eligible to meet my Illinois MCLE requirement?

Yes. All IICLE® online on-demand programs are accredited for Illinois MCLE credit. Professional responsibility credits, where indicated, are approved by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism.

How do I find how many Illinois MCLE hours I have obtained through IICLE®?

Log into your IICLE® account and access the “CLE Tracker” tab on your “My Content” page. This will display all hours earned. Verify all CLE activity on your MCLE Transcript at www.mcleboard.org.

When can I expect to receive a certificate of my participation in an IICLE® program?

Certificates for live webcasts are available shortly after the program. For Online On-Demand programs, certificates are available upon program completion. For live in-person programs, certificates are emailed within 2 weeks after the program. Contact us at 217-787-2080 for duplicate or expedited certificates.

Live In-Person Programs

What is your Public Health Policy for Live In-Person programs?

IICLE® follows the guidance of the CDC and local health authorities to ensure the safety of participants. Some venues may have their own health requirements, which we are obliged to follow. Participants agree to follow health guidelines such as wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and not attending if ill.

Best practices include:

  • Stay home if feeling ill.
  • Wear a mask when social distancing isn't possible.
  • Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your face and disinfect personal items.
  • Adopt a no-handshake policy.
  • Respect others and notify staff of any concerns.
Do you allow walk-in registrations?

Yes, walk-in registrations are welcome with no additional charge. We recommend calling ahead at 217-787-2080 to confirm seat availability.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes, groups of 3 or more registering for the same program receive a 15% discount. Call 217-787-2080 to access this discount. Discounts cannot be combined with other offers.

Can you accommodate special dietary requests?

We strive to accommodate special dietary requests, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Please indicate your needs during registration at least two weeks before the program. Some requests may incur additional charges.

How do I request accommodations for disabilities or special needs?

Contact IICLE® at 217-787-2080 at least two weeks before the event to request accommodations.

Do you have special hotel room rates available for program attendees?

If special hotel rates are available, they will be included in the registration materials. For more information or recommendations, call 217-787-2080 or email info@iicle.com.

What is your cancellation policy for live programs?

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least 10 business days before the program date. No refunds will be issued after this period, but access to the on-demand recording will be provided. IICLE® reserves the right to exclude certain programs from this policy.

Can I send another attorney in my place if I am unable to attend a program?

Yes. Notify IICLE® in advance at 217-787-2080. The replacement should check in at the event with your name. Only the attending attorney will receive a certificate of attendance.

What are my options if I am a "no-show" for a live program?

If you do not attend and fail to cancel in time, you will receive access to the on-demand recording (if available). Otherwise, program materials will be provided.

If I attend a live in-person or live webcast program, may I get additional credit for viewing the online on-demand version of the program later?

Additional credit can be earned for viewing parts of the program not attended live. Credit cannot be claimed for re-watching sessions already attended.

Online On-Demand Programs

Are all online on-demand programs eligible for MCLE credit?

Yes. All IICLE online on-demand programs are approved for Illinois MCLE credits, including courses with Professional Responsibility credit. Illinois places no limit on the number of CLE credit hours that can be obtained online.

Is it possible to complete the online on-demand programs over a period of time (days, weeks, etc.) to accommodate my schedule?

Yes. You have access to your online courses through your IICLE® account until their expiration, typically 2 years after the original program date. You can watch in segments and revisit materials as needed within that time.

How do I obtain my certificate for an online on-demand program?

Once you complete the program, you will be prompted to generate your certificate. It will be available for viewing or printing in your CLE Tracker.

I purchased an online on-demand program, but I don't know how to access it.

Log in to your IICLE® account. From your "My Content" area, click on the "online on-demand" tab to view your purchased programs. If using a mobile device, access the menu through the hamburger icon in the top right corner. Select a program to start watching.

Are two attorneys able to watch an online program together and receive credit?

Both attorneys may watch together; however, each must purchase the program individually and complete the certification process separately to receive credit.

How do I get credits for an online on-demand program?

After purchasing a program, it is immediately available under the "online on-demand" tab in your IICLE® account. Upon completion, you will be prompted to generate your certificate for credit.

When will my online on-demand program be available?

Online on-demand programs are available immediately after purchase, unless they are pre-ordered recordings of live events. Pre-ordered programs typically become available within two weeks after the live event.

Will IICLE issue a certificate for a subsequent viewing of material for which I have already received a certificate?

No. IICLE will issue only one certificate per program per customer. While you may continue to access the program until its expiration, additional certificates for subsequent viewings will not be issued.

MCLE Complete - Build Your Own Bundle Option

What is the Build-Your-Own-Bundle MCLE Complete Option?

This option allows you to add up to 36 hours of IICLE® online on-demand programs to your account for one flat price.

How do I add programs to my Bundle?

Select up to 36 hours of online on-demand programs at your convenience. Programs can be added individually on the IICLE® website. If hours remain in your Bundle, you will not be charged for the program.

Oops! I added the wrong program to my Bundle!

Contact IICLE® Customer Service at 217-787-2080 or info@iicle.com for assistance in correcting your selection.

How do I know how many credit hours I have left in my Bundle?

Your remaining credits will appear on your IICLE® account page under your contact information. You can also contact Customer Service for assistance.

What happens if I want to add a program to my Bundle that exceeds the number of Bundle hours I have remaining?

You will be charged a pro-rated amount for the additional hours at checkout, or you may remove the program from your cart.

When does access to my Bundle expire?

The Bundle itself never expires as long as you have remaining hours. However, access to specific programs expires when their individual program expiration dates are reached.

When do the individual programs I select expire?

Individual programs expire two years after the original program date. Ensure you watch the program before its expiration, as refunds or replacements for expired programs are not provided.

I forgot to watch a program that I added to my Bundle and now it has expired. Can I replace it with a new one?

No. IICLE® will not issue refunds or replacements for expired programs that were not completed before their expiration date.

To which reporting periods can the programs in my Bundle be applied?

Hours can be applied to the reporting period in which the program is completed or carried over to the next reporting period, following Illinois MCLE Board rules.

How do I obtain CLE certificates for the programs in my Bundle?

After completing a program, your certificate will be generated and added to your CLE tracker. Access the CLE tracker via the "My Content" area in your IICLE® account.

Is there an option to get unlimited access to all IICLE® online on-demand programs all the time?

Yes! The IICLE® Online All-Access subscription provides unlimited access to all IICLE® online on-demand programs 24/7/365. Additional benefits include:
