This session aims to increase knowledge of the importance of cultural competence in the lawyer/client relationship and understanding of how cultural differences between lawyer and others in the legal system might impact representation of a client. Attendees also learn five habits for increasing cultural competence.

What are those actions and practices? How is it possible that, for instance, a woman or a person of color can be hurt by a company when a manager assigns them to a diversity committee?
