IICLE® will be closed Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 19 at 8:30 a.m.
Understand the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST), officer's Alcohol Influence Report (AIR), and breath alcohol results as they are used in the examination of the reporting officer. Learn the best ways to utilize the SFST reports and other documents during direct and cross examination and how to lay the proper foundation for a police officer's testimony about the administration of the SFST's, the State's "Exhibit A". Specific attention will be paid to the officer's observations (including bloodshot eyes, odor of alcohol, slurred speech, etc.).
This program is tightly focused on direct and cross-examination skills for DUI trials. Seasoned litigators instruct on best practices for examining police officers and expert witnesses who often testify at DUI trials and a judge advises on how attorneys can most successfully present their cases.
