James W. Dodge is the Executive Director of the State of Illinois Legislative Reference Bureau in Springfield, where he drafts legislation for the Illinois General Assembly. Mr. Dodge is a professor of law for Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, where he teaches contracts, business organizations, and estates, wills, and trusts. He is also the Commissioner of the Uniform Law Commission and a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. Mr. Dodge received his B.S. from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
Timothy S. Farberis a Partner with Locke Lord LLP, in Chicago, and concentrates his practice on transactional and regulatory issues. Mr. Farber is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State, and American Bar Association. Philip N. Hablutzel is a Professor of Law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, teaching courses in corporate law, securities regulation, banking law, international capital markets, and international commercial arbitration, and also serves as Director of the Institute of Illinois Business Law. He spent four years as a research attorney at the American Bar Foundation, where he authored several books, including the three-volume MODEL BUSINESS CORPORATION LAW ANNOTATED (West) and the MODEL RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD-TENANT CODE. From 1985 – 2005, he served as a member of the Illinois Secretary of State’s Corporate Laws Advisory Committee, serving as reporter for the complete revision of the Illinois General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 1986. He has been a Senior Fulbright Professor in Mainz, Germany; has taught courses in London and shorter courses in Buenos Aires, Augsburg, Bangkok, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing; and has lectured in Kiev. He has served as Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Commercial, Banking, and Bankruptcy Law; Chair of the ISBA Section Council on Corporation, Securities, and Business Law; Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Corporation Law Committee; and Chair of the American Bar Association Committee on the Adoption of the Uniform Trade Secrets Act. Since 2004, he has been a public member of the Business Conduct Committee of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Professor Hablutzel received his Master’s and law degrees from the University of Chicago.
Kirk A. Hoopingarner is a Partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, in Chicago, where he focuses his practice on trusts and estates and tax-exempt organizations.
