James W. Dodge is the Executive Director of the State of Illinois Legislative Reference Bureau in Springfield, where he drafts legislation for the Illinois General Assembly. Mr. Dodge is a professor of law for Concord Law School at Purdue University Global, where he teaches contracts, business organizations, and estates, wills, and trusts. He is also the Commissioner of the Uniform Law Commission and a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. Mr. Dodge received his B.S. from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
Kirk A. Hoopingarner is a Partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, in Chicago, where he focuses his practice on trusts and estates and tax-exempt organizations. Mr. Hoopingarner is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council. Mr. Hoopingarner received his B.A. from Hope College and his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.
John B. Waters is Of Counsel to Roetzel & Andress, LPA, in Chicago, where he practices in the areas of corporate and tax law. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and the Illinois State Bar Association Federal Taxation Section. He received his B.S. from Iowa State University, his M.N.E. from North Carolina State University, his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law, where he was Symposium Editor of the Law Review, and his LL.M. in taxation from DePaul University.
