Jeffery Facklam is the Chief of the Felony Division of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, in Waukegan, where he focuses on criminal law. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association and a board member of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County. Mr. Facklam received his B.S. from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.

Aaron Goldstein is the Chief of the Civil Division of the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender, in Chicago, and concentrates on criminal defense and child welfare law. He is lead counsel for the Illinois Capital Litigation Trial Bar, a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel, and one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Mr. Goldstein received his B.A. with distinction from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from the University of Iowa.

Keith Grant is the Senior Supervisor for the Lake County Public Defender’s Office in Waukegan, where he concentrates his practice on criminal defense and is responsible for the coordination and litigation of Public Defender complex cases and all training conducted for all employees (legal and otherwise) in the Office. Mr. Grant also coordinates the Public Defender’s Conflict Unit. Previously, he served as the Public Defender’s Office Felony Division Chief and, before that, as the Misdemeanor Division Chief. Before becoming an administrator, Mr. Grant was a line-assistant in the Public Defender’s Office for nearly ten years. He is the President of the Illinois Public Defender Association (2012 – present) and a Past President of the Lake County Bar Association (2014 – 2015) and the Jefferson Inn of Court (2010 – 2011). Mr. Grant received his B.A. from Ripon College and his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Joshua B. Kutnick, of Kutnick Law, in Chicago, has owned his practice since 2001. He focuses his work on criminal defense, civil rights, and federal criminal defense. He is a member of the Decalogue Society and authored “Defeating the Illinois Eavesdropping Act” (2013). In 2020, Mr. Kutnick presented on the topic of Defending Sex Crimes at the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ annual continuing legal education conference. Kathleen M. Pantle is a retired Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She is a former member of the Illinois Pattern Jury Instructions (Criminal) Committee. She is an Alternate Chair of the Illinois Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission and has served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Commercial Litigation Committee. Judge Pantle received her B.S. from Loyola University Chicago and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
