Understand the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST), officer's Alcohol Influence Report (AIR), and breath alcohol results as they are used in the examination of the reporting officer. Learn the best ways to utilize the SFST reports and other documents during direct and cross examination and how to lay the proper foundation for a police officer's testimony about the administration of the SFST's, the State's "Exhibit A". Specific attention will be paid to the officer's observations (including bloodshot eyes, odor of alcohol, slurred speech, etc.).
