Update on IL Dept of Juvenile Justice and the New Transformation Plan

On July 31, 2020, Governor JB Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton announced a four year plan to transform the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ), which provides secure custody and Aftercare services to youth committed to it from local juvenile courts. Deputy Director of Programs, Robert Vickery, will provide an overview of the transformation plan. He will also answer any questions about the plan and IDJJ’s services. Chuck will discuss the sentencing of Minors to the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice under the Juvenile Court Act.
