David J. Lanciotti of Chicago Title Land Trust Company in Chicago is the focus of our June FLASHPOINTS author spotlight. Lanciotti is the author of MODERN LAND TRUST PRACTICE (IICLE®, 2020), which he considers to be illustrative of all the Institute’s publications: “It not only provides the most up-to-date law regarding the topic, but it also provides detailed analysis and practice advice specifically tailored for Illinois attorneys.”
One of the Institute’s most celebrated titles, IICLE® CLASSICS: KENOE ON LAND TRUSTS 1989 Edition, is “a well written and comprehensive treatment” of trusts by Henry W. Kenoe, but it does not cover the scope of new law. A new title was devised between Lanciotti and the Institute.
Lanciotti serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel with Chicago Title Land Trust Company, where he has been for 19 years. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a Past President and current Board Member of the Land Trust Council of Illinois. Lanciotti received his B.A. from Purdue University and his J.D. cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
