Introduction to Judgments
The first in a series of courses on monetary judgments, this module provides an overview of subject. Topics covered include introducing what a monetary judgment is, the forms judgments can take, and how each form can be enforced.
The discussion includes:
- The form of an enforceable order and the types of information to be included to make the judgment clear and enforceable.
- The ability, and need, to pursue enforcement immediately
- Liens against real estate and personal property
- Enforcing judgments from other jurisdictions

Secrets of the Citation Act and Wage Deductions and Garnishment
In this second and third part of the monetary judgments series, the discussion turns to Citations to Discover Assets, along with Wage Deduction and Garnishment (Non-Wage). Topics covered include: The shift away from use of deductions and garnishment and toward use of citations, what a Citation to Discover Assets is and what it can do, limitations on their use, and how and when deductions and non-wage garnishment are and are not effective.

In this fifth course in the series on monetary judgments, a panel discussion addresses a series of issues on the professional ethics involved in collection of monetary judgments.
