Heather E. Voorn is a partner with Delaney Delaney & Voorn, Ltd. in Orland Park. Heather joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2007, and made partner in 2012. She devotes her legal practice to elder law and is board certified as a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation.
A Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in Will County, Heather is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association, and the South Suburban Bar Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the South Suburban Bar Association and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Heather is also accredited by the Veteran’s Administration, and serves on the faculty of the National Business Institute and the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education. She is also a co-author of Advising Elderly Clients and their Families, has spoken locally and nationally on elder law issues, and is considered an expert on nursing home residents’ rights.
Heather earned her Bachelor’s degree from The Florida State University, magna cum laude. She earned her J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, where she also graduated magna cum laude. While a student at The John Marshall Law School, Heather was on the Law Review and externed for the Honorable Charles R. Norgle of the Northern District of Illinois District Court. She also has been published in The Forum on Public Policy: A Journal of the Oxford Round Table.
