Learn about defenses and doctrines unique to the construction context and develop a checklist for defenses to construction claims, including: defenses arising from contract and tort law; defenses, limitations of liability and immunities unique to construction litigation and derived from statute and the appellate courts; and defenses derived from the body of law arising out of litigation over industry-form agreements which interprets common phrases and provisions in those forms and cloaks those provisions with established legal meaning.
