The award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, initiative, and impact in supporting the educational mission of IICLE. Recipients are typically selected for:

The IICLE Programs Department has selected Shawn M. McCullough as the IICLE Programs Volunteer of the Year. A dedicated IICLE volunteer since 2022, McCullough, has participated in a variety of IICLE programs at which he is always an incredibly engaging and a consistently highly rated speaker. Over the course of the past year, McCullough has dedicated significant time and effort as a member of the Planning Committee for the 2025 Estate Planning Short Course. He was also recently featured as a spotlight author in the May 2025 FLASHPOINTS newsletter.
In making this nomination, our Programs staff noted that not only does McCullough regularly participate as a presenter when asked, but he also proactively reaches out to inquire about upcoming programs and speaking opportunities, demonstrating a true commitment to contributing to IICLE. McCullough consistently meets deadlines, comes well-prepared, and delivers high-quality contributions.

McCullough is a Partner with Harrison LLP, in Chicago where he concentrates his practice on estate planning, trust administration, and probate. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Chicago Estate Planning Council. Prior to law school, McCullough had a career as a CPA, advising clients on tax and financial matters.
