Robert K. He presently serves as Village Attorney for the Villages of Lisle and Harwood Heights and as Park District Counsel to the Park District of Highland Park, the Park District of LaGrange, the McHenry County Conservation District, the Cary Park District, and the Hoffman Estates Park District, among many others. Mr. Bush works closely with the many self-insurance pools represented by the firm and is the corporate counsel for various self-insurance risk pools throughout Illinois. Ms. Cahill serves as Municipal Attorney for the Villages of Algonquin and Deer Park and as counsel for the planning and zoning boards of the Cities of Genoa and McHenry. Ms. Cahill also works with private developers engaged in the municipal development process in cities and villages not represented by the firm. Mr. Diamond is the originating General Editor of the IICLE® handbooks MUNICIPAL LAW AND PRACTICE IN ILLINOIS and ILLINOIS SCHOOL LAW and has participated in numerous seminars on these subjects. He is one of the authors of the ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL HANDBOOK, published by the Illinois Municipal League. He is also one of the authors of THE HANDBOOK ON ILLINOIS PARK DISTRICT LAW, published by the Illinois Association of Park Districts, and a handbook on township law. He has written many articles on local government law. He drafted one of the first contract and bylaws agreements for a comprehensive intergovernmental self-insurance pool in the United States and currently represents a large number of intergovernmental self-insurance pools. He has taught municipal law at Northwestern University School of Law and is a Past Chair of the Illinois State Bar Association Local Government Law Section Council. He is the author of DIAMOND’S RULES OF ORDER,a set of parliamentary rules for government bodies and private organizations. Mr. Flood has acted or continues to act as corporate counsel for the City of Woodstock and the Villages of Lake in the Hills, Johnsburg, Lakewood, Bull Valley, and Hebron. Mr. Flood also has represented the Lake in the Hills Police Commission. He and the firm act as special counsel to units of local government regarding exaction fees, cable television, and environmental issues. Thomas W. Good is a Partner at Gorski & Good, LLP, in Wheaton, where he concentrates in all aspects of municipal law. Mr. Good represents the Villages of Woodridge and Third Lake, the Wheaton Mosquito Abatement District, and the DuPage Water Commission. Katherine S. Janega of Highland Park is the former Village Attorney for the Village of Winnetka, from whom she received a commendation resolution recognizing her achievements upon retirement after serving the village for 21 years. Before retiring, Ms. Janega concentrated her practice in the areas of local government and land use law. She has been a member of the planning committee and faculty for IICLE®’s Local Government Law Institute (2013 – 2015) and of the faculty for IICLE®’s New Lawyer Institute (2014). She has also provided pro bono legal services to the Glencoe Historical Society relating to zoning relief and interaction and agreements with the village and local park district in conjunction with the reconstruction of a Frank Lloyd Wright structure and restoration of an adjacent park. She is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations and of Lambda Alpha International — Honorary Society for Land Economics.
