The IICLE® Board of Directors has adopted the following Charitable Mission Statement and Gift Policy

MISSION STATEMENT FOR CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

IICLE® is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing society by being a leader in the continued growth and excellence of Illinois' legal profession. We advance justice by advancing the quality and skills of lawyers.

IICLE® partners with volunteer leading lawyers in the creation of premier continuing education and practice resources. It provides the best Illinois-oriented education and practice resources to lawyers at low cost and, when appropriate, also reduced or no cost to lawyers engaged in public-interest matters or with limited financial means.

CHARITABLE GIFT POLICY

Charitable Gift Policy: Charitable donations shall be considered extraordinary and shall not be handled as ordinary revenue. Charitable donations shall be targeted for their highest and best use in furtherance of IICLE's charitable mission.

Upon the receipt of a charitable donation, such donation shall immediately be segregated into a separate fund or accounted as a separate restricted fund. Income earned on the charitable donation shall also be added to the separate fund. The use of a charitable fund shall be determined by the Board of Directors. No part of the charitable fund shall be used in general operations unless by prior authorization as provided herein. Any charitable donation shall be used for and within the purposes of IICLE. The separate charitable fund shall be called the IICLE® Charitable Fund.
