Adam S. Garber of Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC, in Chicago is the IICLE® Spotlight Author for June. He is the author of the IICLE® handbook REVOCABLE GRANTOR TRUSTS (2019).
Drawing from his experience in estate planning, Garber began with IICLE® as a speaker, presenting at the IICLE® Estate Planning Short Course in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, as well as the Gift and Estate Tax Workshop in 2017.
Garber has found IICLE® handbooks tremendously beneficial to his practice throughout his career, so the invitation to work on REVOCABLE GRANTOR TRUSTS was a welcome opportunity. IICLE® publications have helped strengthen his knowledge of revocable grantor trusts and his overall practice, which is “one hundred percent” dedicated to estate planning. Not only was writing a way to give back, but it also was a chance to learn more about his own area of law.
In addition to his role as Partner at Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC, Garber is licensed as a certified public accountant and has an LL.M. in taxation. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Executive Committee on Trust Law and has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He is an alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Chicago-Kent College of Law, and Northwestern University School of Law.
