Elizabeth A. Garlovsky of Lesser Lutrey Pasquesi & Howe LLP in Lake Forest is our IICLE® Spotlight Author for April. She is a contributor to ESTATE ADMINISTRATION FUNDAMENTALS (2019).
Originally a speaker and presenter at various IICLE® seminars like the Annual Estate Planning Short Course, Garlovsky became an author, having regularly used IICLE®’s books herself: “As a young attorney, I also found myself turning to IICLE® handbooks on a regular basis as an excellent resource in a wide range of practice areas.” She “appreciated knowing that the authors were other Illinois practitioners” like herself, providing not only technical research but also practical advice.
When asked to join on as a contributor to ESTATE ADMINISTRATION FUNDAMENTALS (2019), Garlovsky saw it as an opportunity to “give back to the legal community by contributing the same quality resources to other attorneys throughout Illinois.” Now serving as the new Estate Planning & Probate Law FLASHPOINTS Author, she continues to give back to her fellow attorneys. With the IICLE® Online Library, IICLE® publications continue to be a go-to resource for her in her practice. In her words: “I am grateful to all the attorneys who take the time to contribute all the valuable content from research to practice pointers to forms.”
In addition to serving as a Partner at Lesser Lutrey Pasquesi & Howe LLP, Garlovsky is a Fellow at the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section, where she serves as a Mentor for new attorneys, and the Chicago Bar Association, where she serves on the Probate Forms Committee. She is an alumnus of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
