Are IICLE® recorded programs eligible for CLE credit?
Yes. IICLE® is approved to provide recorded programs for CLE credit in all of the following formats: Audio Download, DVD, Podcast, and Online On-Demand programs.
How long will I have access to my online on-demand program?
IICLE® expires recorded CLE programs in accordance with the rules and requirements of the Illinois MCLE Board, generally 2 years after the original program date. You will have access to your online courses through your MyIICLE profile until the expiration date.
If more than one attorney participates in a recorded program, who can receive a certificate?
Only the record purchaser is eligible to receive a certificate from IICLE® for participating in a recorded program. Any additional attorneys who participate in the program and who would like to obtain CLE credit for that participation must contact IICLE® at (217) 787-2080 to arrange to register for the program.
I purchased a DVD with 6 MCLE hours, but I only need 4. Can I fill in only the hours I need on the Affidavit of Completion and receive a certificate?
Yes. You may enter only the actual hours viewed and IICLE® will issue you a certificate based on those hours. The affidavit will only be processed once.
When can I expect to receive a certificate of my participation in an IICLE® program?
For e-learn programs, your certificate will be available to you once you complete the program. You will be prompted to go to the next item to generate your certificate which you can then print or view in your CLE Tracker. For DVDs and Audio Downloads, you will receive a certificate immediately after submitting the online affidavit to IICLE®. You can access the affidavit for your DVD or Audio Download by logging in to your account on the IICLE website, selecting DVDs or Audios under the My Content tab and clicking the view affidavit button. If you have questions about the status of your certificate for an IICLE® program or if you need to request an expedited or duplicate copy of a certificate, please contact us at 217-787-2080.
When do IICLE® recorded programs expire?
In general, IICLE® recorded programs expire within 2 years after the original program date. However, IICLE® has the option to extend the expiration date for certain recorded programs and is required to expire certain programs earlier than 2 years after the original program date. For more information about the expiration date for a particular recording, please contact IICLE® at (217) 787-2080.
If I participate in an IICLE® recorded program after the stated expiration date, can I still obtain a certificate?
IICLE® will not be able to provide a certificate of participation for an IICLE® program for which the expiration date has passed if you viewed or listened to the program after that date. We encourage you to contact IICLE® at (217) 787-2080 to determine the expiration status of your recording if you have concerns.
