The MCLE Board of the Illinois Supreme Court regulates and administers Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements for Illinois-licensed attorneys. The MCLE Board maintains a helpful website with regularly updated information about the continuing education requirements for Illinois attorneys at www.mcleboard.org.
Since January 1, 2006, IICLE® has been an Accredited CLE Provider, accredited by the Illinois MCLE Board pursuant to Rule 795(b). Therefore, all programs offered by IICLE® are presumptively approved for general substantive CLE credit.
Yes. Unless otherwise specified, all IICLE® online on-demand, DVD, and Audio download programs (1) are accredited for substantive Illinois MCLE credit hours by the Illinois MCLE Board and (2) for programs with professional responsibility credits indicated, approved for those hours by the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. Programs for which professional responsibility accreditation has not yet been approved will have those credits listed as "pending approval."
You can view all of the hours you have earned with IICLE® by logging into your account on www.iicle.com. To access your history of participation in IICLE® continuing legal education programs from anywhere on the IICLE® website click on the silhouette next to the shopping cart icon at the top right of the screen and log in to your account. Once you are redirected to your My Content page click on the “CLE Tracker” tab on the right side of the page. Hours obtained through IICLE® or through any IICLE®Share Network Provider will be automatically listed here. You may also enter programs you have taken with other providers in order to keep track of all of your hours in one convenient place.
As an Accredited CLE Provider, IICLE® programs are presumptively accredited by the Illinois MCLE Board to offer general substantive Illinois MCLE hours. However, IICLE® must apply separately to the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism (ILSCCP) for accreditation of all professional responsibility hours. If program information indicates that certain content is "pending approval" for Illinois MCLE Professional Responsibility hours, that IICLE has applied to, but has not yet received approval from, the ILSCCP for those hours. All programs with professional responsibility hours listed without the "pending approval" label have been approved by the ILSCCP. For more information about professional responsibility requirements for Illinois attorneys, please visit the ILSCCP website at www.ilsccp.org.
As of August 2019, CLE providers must submit to the MCLE Board the name, ARDC registration number, completion date, and actual hours earned by each attendee. HOWEVER, it is still the attorney's responsibility to maintain a record of MCLE hours for each compliance period and to report compliance with Illinois MCLE requirements to the Illinois MCLE Board. IICLE® does maintain a record of participation in its programs, in accordance with Illinois Supreme Court Rules and Illinois MCLE Board requirements. If you need assistance verifying your participation in an IICLE® program, please contact IICLE® at 217-787-2080.
