Trial subscriptions do not include access to downloadable chapters, editable forms, or course materials. To view a demo of the restricted portions of SmartBooks, please contact us at 800.252.8062. One free week trial per person. Paid Subscriptions Paid subscriptions include access to all features of SmartBooks including downloadable chapters, editable forms, and access to PDF downloads of course materials. The subscription fee is based on the number of Illinois-licensed attorneys practicing in your firm at the time of subscription. We offer an annual or monthly payment option and require a one-year minimum term. See payment chart below to calculate your payment due. Subscriptions cannot be cancelled prior to fulfillment of the one-year minimum.  If payment is made by credit card, your subscription will continue until you call or write to cancel the subscription (after one-year minimum has been fulfilled). If you paid the annual fee by check, you will receive a reminder approximately one month prior to your account expiration date. The check payment must be received by the expiration date to avoid a lapse in your SmartBooks subscription. Cancelling Subscriptions Because subscribers have an opportunity to try the service for free and possess the entire SmartBooks library from the first day of the subscription, no full or partial refunds are made if users do not use the service for the full year. Users who wish to terminate use of the service after fulfillment of the one-year minimum must contact IICLE by phone at 800.252.8062 or by sending the cancellation request in writing to IICLE, 2395 W. Jefferson St., Springfield, IL 62702. If account is cancelled and then re-activated at a later date, the subscriber must again fulfill the one-year minimum before cancellation.  SmartBooks Subscription Fees Subscription fees are based on the number of licensed Illinois attorneys in the same firm or practice on the date of subscription. A monthly payment option is available with a one-year contract and payment by credit card only. Monthly subscriptions extend for one year from the date of acceptance by IICLE of the subscription. No shortened term is allowed. You may not cancel the subscription during the one-year term, but you may cancel at any time after fulfillment of the one-year term. Once cancellation is processed, you may subscribe to SmartBooks again, but you must again fulfill the one-year contract before cancellation. The one-year term is required for all future activations as well. Monthly Payment. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) are the only payment options accepted for monthly payment subscriptions. Absolutely no check payments will be accepted. There is a small processing fee included in the subscription price for the monthly payment option. If the credit card expires during the one-year term of the subscription, your account will be suspended, and we will contact you for current credit card information. If we are unable to contact you, you will be billed for the remaining balance. The account will be reactivated when payment is received. If you default on your monthly payments, you will not be allowed to resubscribe in the future on the monthly payment plan. Termination of This Agreement. The subscriber may not terminate this agreement once the terms have been accepted. IICLE can terminate this payment option at any time, for any reason. User Agreement Use of SmartBooks® is governed by the terms of your User Agreement. IICLE accepts subscriptions to IICLE SmartBooks® only with the understanding that subscribers have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of the User Agreement.
